After pushing this aside for about 3 weeks, I'm finally finished. I really like how this turned out. Took me so many hours (minus the procrastination)and so many layers, about 70 layers, but with the glow layers unmerged, it'd be about 85+. And it took a long time for it to save as well. I'd have to wait at least 12 seconds each time for it while it was saving.
If you may notice, the picture seems to be straight, but if you look again, it's slanted at an angle.
One of the characters I so despise I decided to draw. Her hair took several layers to do to make it glow. I tried to use perspective, as if her legs were closer to the screen, but I kinda didn't do it too well. The length of her legs seem as if they don't correspond with the perspective. And then there's her shirt. The left part of her shirt is a little too high, even for perspective. Notice how after about 2 months my clouds skills have lessened so badly they look like fluffy cotton candy in the sky. And they also don't seem to correspond with the perspectiving. Another big thing I somewhat forgot to do is I intended to make the background darker than it is, but after I added the clouds, it seemed brighter than it should.
For the energy ki, I used several layers with different layer types to make it really bright. Same with the lightning in the sky. The lightning on the ki is a bit too thick though. I did want to show much of the ground, so I lessened the visibility of the smoke.
I'm really happy how this came out, even if the background does suck. I may also submit this image to myfavoritegames.
