Hmm...wonder where he got that sword from XD
I like how this came out, even though it's a simple image. Took only less than a day to do. It took only around 12 layers. The lineart was deleted since it didn't really fit with the soft background. I experimented with the clouds, so in the foreground, they're supposed to be larger in comparison to the ones all the way in the back. A gap in the clouds was intentional, but not too large. The circle shine on the sword was exaggerated a bit since there is not much of a light source except the star trail. The sprinkles from the trail look kinda dull and circly, any crits on that would be nice. It took me a while to get the trail the way I wanted it to be. At first the trail was a motion blur to show Kirby going really fast, but then I decided to go for a trail.
Overall I just played around with the leveling to get it to look dark. The only things I kept bright are the trail, stars in the background, and the star sprinkles to enhance the feeling of this image. Make it more joyful and bright - bright in the center to catch the eye, and the surrounding areas dark to make the attention go more for the center.
I had fun doing this. Not exactly how I pictured a Kirby image, but it's still good.
